February 24, 2006 Subject:For the engineer Never mind the acting, or the fox hunters. It is a good primer for those who know nothing about jet engines. And, an interesting film for an engineer like myself who knows jet engines.

November 27, 2005 Subject:Weird or wonder? Fairly interesting, if a bit pedestrian and badly acted, but also rather bizarre at times (e.g. contrasting the people developing the jet engine with the local gentry out fox-hunting). To be honest, it's probably more interesting for what it shows of British life in the 50s than the development of the jet engine!
